Business Unit Engine Europe Press Release
KUBOTA BUSINESS UNIT ENGINE EUROPE PRESENTS THE EUROPEAN LAUNCH OF “THE O9” LARGE DISPLACEMENT SERIES AT INTERMAT
Kubota, the world-leading primary Power-Source manufacturer of industrial diesel and dual fuel engines, will be presenting its new “09” large displacement series in Europe for the first time at INTERMAT, Paris (23 – 28 April).
The new 09 Series range has been developed in response to market need, and new more stringent emissions standards being established around the globe, in particular within the United States, the EU and Japan to name a few. All industrial Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are now required to build their machines with emission certified engines and incorporate new control management systems and after treatment devices to the required emission level within the respective sales region and market destination. Kubota has taken measures to comply with the various global certification requirements in order to become the number one choice under 100hp. It has now decided to expand the product line-up to the 200hp class.
Daniel Grant, marketing manager for Kubota Business Unit Engine Europe, commented: “We are extremely excited about the introduction of the 09 series to Europe and the growth opportunities this will bring. It is designed in every way to be the answer to our customers’ needs in the 200hp category, from high power density and excellent fuel efficiency to ease of maintenance. We are delighted to be exhibiting it at INTERMAT, Paris.”
The V5009 model will enter series production from 2019. The 09 series will be further strengthened and enhanced by the introduction of the V4309 engine variant: a four-cylinder displacement engine with a rated output of 115.7 kW (155.2 HP) and a rated speed of 2200 rpm. It has a maximum torque of 649.6 Nm (479.1 lb-ft), at speeds between 1500 – 1600 rpm. The V4309 is not on display at INTERMAT.
