Business Unit Engine Europe Press Release
Kubota, the world-leading power-source manufacturer of industrial Off-Highway Diesel, Petrol, LPG and Natural Gas fuelled engines will use EIMA International, Bologna 7-11 November 2018 to officially unveil its latest innovation in Europe.
The Kubota D902-T is an all-new compact premium model within the New Super Mini Series (NSM).
As like the other Kubota engines on display at EIMA International, the new model will be ready for EU Stage V from 2019 and forms part of an extensive range of Kubota power solutions at the event.
This latest unveiling within 2018, serves to demonstrate the newly formed Business Unit Engine Europe’s commitment to growing its European business by innovation.
The turbocharged D902-T requires no DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and is a vertical, water-cooled 4-cycle diesel engine.
It can achieve a rated output of 18.5 kW (24.8HP) at a rated speed of 2800 rpm with a maximum torque of 78.0 Nm (57.5 lb-ft) at a rated speed of 2000rpm.
With its compact dimensions of 434mm long x 412mm wide x 544mm high (17.1 x 16.2 x 21.4 in), and a dry weight of 75 kg (165lb) the new D902-T provides a perfect solution for equipment manufacturers requiring increased levels of torque from a compact power source.
Leading the series, the D902-T shares many key features and benefits from the world renowned NSM engine series.
By offering enhanced performance and greater versatility, this news engine is particularly attractive to manufacturers of compact Agriculture or Municipal machines working at high altitude or requiring higher levels of torque reserves at slower speeds.
Greater flexibility in design comes from the new model which occupies a similar space envelope as to the naturally aspirated D902-E4 and the Spark Ignited WG972.
EIMA International will also feature the recently unveiled new Kubota V1505-CR-T and WG1903 models for the first time. These new model’s will equally appeal to manufactures of Agriculture and Municipal equipment seeking high performance, from a dependable power source.
EIMA International, also marks the first collaboration of the recently-formed Business Unit Engine Europe (BUEE) with its Italian partner of more than a quarter of a century, SAIM Industrial.
It reflects a newly-confident, outward-facing approach from the European business arm of the Japan-headquartered Corporation as it evolves into a global major brand.
Daniel Grant, Marketing Manager of Business Unit Engine Europe, commented: “EIMA International provides Kubota and SAIM the perfect opportunity to meet our customers, present our new Power Solutions to the European Agriculture sector together under one roof, drawing upon our vast industry experience and customer support expertise”.
“It is appropriate that we present a range of power solutions that meet the needs of European OEMs, which are now at critical stages in product design and development in preparation for EU Stage V in 2019/2020,” he continued. “From DPF technology, through dual fuel solutions and to our experienced support network with its renewed emphasis on speed and flexibility, Kubota is in a prime position to provide an answer to whatever our customers’ questions may be.”
